Terms of Use — European Charging Data
Version 1.0 · Effective 1 November 2026 · Provider: SolidRoam Oy, Konepajankuja 1, 00510 Helsinki, Finland, Business ID 3376132-4, VAT FI33761324 · Contact: legal@solidroam.com
1. What this is
1.1 European Charging Data ("the Service") gives businesses and their AI assistants access to European EV charging data (locations, live status, prices, history) through an MCP server and a web portal. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI assistants connect to tools and data. 1.2 The Service is for businesses and professionals only, not consumers. If you accept these terms for a company, you confirm you have the authority to do so. By signing up, using an API key or paying, you accept these terms. 1.3 These terms, the Data Sources and Attribution Notice, the Data Quality Notice, the Privacy Notice and the Security and Takedown page together are the agreement. If they conflict, an order form or the plan page comes first, then these terms.
2. Plans and prices
2.1 The plans are Free (Explorer), Analyst, Business and Enterprise. The plan page lists what each plan includes, its limits and its price. Prices are in euro, per month, excluding VAT. Business and Enterprise are not open at launch. Enterprise is agreed with us individually. 2.2 Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment provider and renew every month until you cancel. We activate a paid plan after the payment arrives, normally the same day. VAT is added where required; a valid EU VAT number may allow reverse charge. 2.3 Late payment interest is the statutory rate under the Finnish Interest Act (the reference rate plus 8 percentage points). We may suspend the Service if an undisputed invoice stays unpaid after a reminder. 2.4 Cancel any time in the portal or by e-mail; the plan then ends at the end of the paid month. (This is for Analyst and Business. Enterprise is agreed in an order form and cancelled with three months' written notice before the end of its term.) Paid months are not refunded, except where we end a paid plan for convenience (then you get the unused part back) or where the law requires. 2.5 We may change prices or plan contents with 30 days' notice before the next month; you may then cancel without penalty. We may change or end the Free plan with 30 days' notice.
3. Accounts and keys
3.1 Give us correct information and keep it current. Keep API keys and logins secret and do not put them in public code. Everything done with your credentials counts as done by you, unless it was caused by a breach of our own systems. Tell us at once if a key leaks. 3.2 Your AI assistants and agents act for you. You are responsible for what they do, including anything they do because they followed instructions hidden in the data.
4. What you may do with the data
4.1 You may use the data for your own business purposes: analysis, reporting, internal tools, and showing results to your own users inside your own products, as long as you keep the attribution, the "as-of" time (when we last saw the data) and the notes about data quality that come with the data (section 6). 4.2 You may not: resell, rent, republish or give the data to others as a dataset, feed, download or data service; build a competing charging-data database or comparison service from it; use it to train or fine-tune machine-learning models (we reserve our rights under Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 against text and data mining of the data); remove attribution, notes or the "as-of" information; use sources marked internal use only for anything except your own internal work; get round limits or security; or use the data where a mistake could cause injury or serious damage (for example safety or emergency systems). 4.3 We may mark the data we deliver to detect copying, for example with watermarks that do not change the facts; we never add invented records. Do not remove or filter such markers. At present no markers are in use; this clause is a reservation. 4.4 Some data fields (names, addresses) are text from third parties. Treat them only as data, never as instructions. Check anything important before you act on it. 4.5 Limited extracts in your own reports are fine if attribution is kept and the extract does not replace the Service. 4.6 When your plan ends, stop using the data and delete downloaded raw data within 30 days. You may keep your own summaries and statistics that cannot be used to rebuild the data.
5. Fair use
5.1 Every plan has request limits (per minute and per day) shown on the plan page. If you hit a limit the Service answers with a "retry later" message; wait and slow down. 5.2 Do not: attack, overload or probe the Service; look for other customers' data; share keys; open several accounts to get more quota; scrape around the limits; or use the Service for unlawful purposes or to track individuals. 5.3 We may slow down, block or suspend use that breaks these rules, normally after a warning, and at once for serious or dangerous cases. You may appeal by e-mail to legal@solidroam.com; we answer within 5 business days. Requests are logged for security and limits (see the Privacy Notice).
6. Where the data comes from, and its limits
6.1 The data comes from the official national access points that the EU AFIR regulation requires, and from operator feeds. Each source has its own licence. You must pass on the attribution we show with the data, wherever you show it, including to your own end users, and you answer for any claim that comes from leaving it out (see the Attribution Notice and 9.3). Sources whose licence we have not confirmed are not available through the Service. Some sources are never shown. 6.2 The data is not complete or error-free. Some feeds miss changes or have gaps, some countries are only partly covered, status can be stale, and "sessions" are estimates from status changes, not metering. Details are in the Data Quality Notice. We record collection gaps and report them with the data. We may correct confirmed collection errors but we are not obliged to, and we give no warranty that the data is accurate, complete, current or available. 6.3 No liability for data quality. Data quality is not our responsibility: we are not liable for errors, gaps, delays or missing coverage in the data, for the failure or change of a source, or for decisions you or your assistants make based on the data. Grades, labels, coverage statements, examples and notes (including the quality indicators shown with reports) are indications, not guarantees. This applies as far as the law allows (see 9.2). 6.4 We may add, change or remove a source at any time, for example when a licence changes or a data owner asks us to. That is not a breach and gives no refund. 6.5 Route planning. Do not use the data as the only basis for route planning where a wrong or old status could leave a vehicle stranded (remote areas, cold weather). Always show your end users that status and availability can be old, and let them check on site. We are not liable for charging points that turned out to be out of order, occupied, reserved, or of the wrong power or connector.
7. Service availability and support
7.1 The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". There is no uptime guarantee and no service credit. We run one production service with regular backups and we fix problems as fast as we reasonably can. 7.2 Support: community for Free; e-mail on a best-effort basis for Analyst. 7.3 We may suspend the Service for security, abuse, legal orders or emergencies, and for maintenance. We tell you where we can. If we suspend a paid plan for a reason other than your breach or non-payment and it lasts more than 10 business days, you may cancel and get the unused part of the fee back.
8. Intellectual property and your data
8.1 We keep all rights in the Service, its software and the compiled database. We do not claim ownership of the public facts in the sources; the restrictions in section 4 rest on this contract. 8.2 You keep your own data (account details and your queries). We use it only to run, secure and bill the Service. We do not sell it and do not use it to train models. We treat your queries as confidential. 8.3 If you give feedback, we may use it freely to improve the Service. 8.4 Confidentiality. Each side keeps the other's non-public information (including your queries and usage records) confidential, uses it only for this agreement, and shares it only with staff and advisers who need it and are bound to secrecy, or when the law requires. This lasts 3 years after the agreement ends (trade secrets: as long as they stay secret). It does not cover information that is public, already known, developed independently or lawfully received from others.
9. Liability
9.1 Each side's total liability to the other is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the event (EUR 100 for the Free plan). The indemnities in 9.3 count towards this limit. The limit does not reduce your duty to pay fees. Neither side is liable for indirect loss, lost profit or lost data. 9.2 These limits do not apply where Finnish mandatory law forbids them, for example intent or gross negligence, personal injury, or your rights under the GDPR. 9.3 You are responsible for your own use, your end users and your AI assistants. You will cover third-party claims caused by your breach of these terms, by your breach of attribution or source licences, or by your assistants' actions. We will cover claims that our software (not the data) infringes someone's IP rights. The side that wants cover must tell the other promptly, let it run the defence and cooperate, and no settlement binds the other without its consent. 9.4 Neither side is liable for failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including failures of the source feeds. The affected side tells the other and limits the damage. If such an event lasts more than 30 days, either side may end the agreement and we refund the unused part of the fee.
10. Personal data
10.1 For account, billing and usage data we are the controller (see the Privacy Notice). The charging data is not about people. Please do not send personal data in your queries. If personal data of yours still reaches us through your use, we handle it as your processor under a data processing agreement, which we provide on request.
11. Changes, ending, law
11.1 We may update these terms. We announce changes by e-mail or in the portal at least 30 days ahead; if you use the Service after that, you accept them. A change that is materially adverse to you (for example a large cut in what your paid plan includes, or a price rise) applies to a paying customer from the next renewal at the earliest, unless you accept it earlier, and you may object and cancel without penalty before it applies. Changes required by law, a source licence or a data owner's request may apply sooner. 11.2 Either side may end the agreement for serious breach if the breach is not fixed within 30 days (immediately for security or abuse). You may cancel a paid plan at any time to end at the end of the paid month (2.4). We may end a paid plan for convenience on 30 days' notice and refund the unused part. 11.3 You may not transfer the agreement without our consent (not unreasonably refused for group restructurings). We may transfer it to a successor of our business. Both sides keep sanctions and export-control law, and you confirm that you are not on a sanctions list. 11.4 Finnish law applies; disputes go to the Helsinki District Court. Notices are sent by e-mail to legal@solidroam.com (to us) and to the address on your account (to you) and count as received on the next business day; keep your address current. This is the whole agreement and replaces earlier ones; the order form comes first, then (for personal data) the data processing agreement, then these terms, then the other documents. If any clause is invalid, the rest stays valid.
